COLLEGE RECRUITING
Dear players and parents,
I am happy to announce that I will be working closely with SportsWorx Long Island with regard to helping potential student athletes plan ahead for college and playing lacrosse after high school.Toby Elmore, President of SportsWorx Long Island, and I attended Sachem High School as well as Hofstra University together, each of us attending through athletic opportunities afforded us, Toby as a standout defensive lineman for the Hofstra Pride football program, and myself excelling in lacrosse at the Division 1 level.
We both know how tough the process of recruiting is for parents as well as student-athletes. We are here to help bridge the gap and expand the knowledge of available resources that your child might have available - athletic scholarships, grants, financial aid and academic scholarships just to mention a few. We encourage the process to start as early as your/your child's freshman year in high school to maximize your exposure to college coaches on a national level and provide more opportunities to showcase your athletic ability and lacrosse skills, whichever level you may want to continue playing at.
We will work with the student athlete from day one until they make the decision on which school they will plan to attend. I will be working closely with the player on the field in terms of physical training and evaluation of athletic ability to gauge college level opportunities, whether it is Division 1, 2, 3, or club level competition. Toby will be working closely with the student athlete with regard to planning and financial opportunities, as well as creating your profile for coaches to see you and get noticed and ultimately recruited.
There is a place for everyone to play lacrosse and study at the next level. That place will depend on your academic and athletic ability, which Toby and I will be evaluating until you get recruited.
